Trump-Linked Crypto Venture Prepares Stablecoin Audit and Product Expansion
World Liberty Financial, the cryptocurrency venture associated with former U.S. President Donald Trump, is gearing up to release a third-party audit of its stablecoin and launch a new mobile app. Co-founder Zak Folkman announced the developments at the Permissionless conference in Brooklyn, signaling a push to enhance trust in the platform's financial infrastructure amid political scrutiny.
The audit, conducted by an independent accounting firm, is expected to be published imminently. Folkman also hinted at potential changes to the platform's governance token, WLFI, which currently lacks tradability. "Pay attention over the next couple of weeks," he teased, suggesting upcoming announcements could satisfy stakeholders.
The venture has already generated hundreds of millions in revenue since its launch earlier this year. However, ethics groups have raised concerns about the intersection of political influence and the burgeoning crypto industry.
